Robert M. Hutmacher. O.F.M., is the founder and Artistic Director of Chiesa Nuova. He entered the Franciscans in 1968 and was ordained a priest in 1979. He has spent his life as a spiritual guide, liturgist, musician and Franciscan friar of dreams, compassion and good humor. Over the years he has published numbers compositions and recorded twelve collections of original works. Most important in his life: the friars, his family, the arts.



 

arthurArthur Anderson, O.F.M., a native Chicagoan, Fr. Arthur was received into the Order of Friars Minor (aka the Franciscans) in 1974 and professed solemn vows in 1981. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1983. His assignments since ordination have included ministry in Catholic Education, parochial ministry, and administration at the diocesan level and on behalf of the Midwest Franciscan province to which he belongs. Frequently enlisted as a supply ministry priest to the parishes, he also planned and conducted workshops and retreats for religious communities of men and women and for Catholic lay associations of the faithful, as well as parish missions. Presently, a doctoral student in canon law of the Franciscan's principal university in Rome, Italy, he serves also as an instructor in canon law for the Archdiocese of Chicago's permanent deacon formation program and as the current director of priesthood formation for his Franciscan province. In addition, as a member of the recently constituted Father Tolton Guild, he assists the current collaborative efforts to promote the case for sainthood for Fr. Augustine Tolton, the first African-American priest of the United States.

Patrick and Kay Hutmacher live in Libertyville, Illinois and joined the CN board in 2005. They have been happily married for over 36 years and have three children, Kate, Dan and Pam. Pat is president of Shoehorn Furnishings LLC, and has worked in home furnishings and textiles for over 30 years. Both have travelled extensively in Europe and Asia for leisure and business. They had the privilege of visiting Assisi, Italy with Fr. Bob Hutmacher and were inspired by his "Dialogue of Francis and Clare' and the vision he has to inspire others to witness God's beauty through the performing arts. They feel honored to be able to support Chiesa Nuova and its ministry.


J_LJohn and Linda Jamrozy met Fr. Bob Hutmacher in 1987 in their home parish of St. Baraba, Brookfield, Illinois.  John is employed by IBM Corporation as a Customer IT Architect.  Linda is the Mentor Program Manager for The Chicago Scholars Foundation and was employed by the Franciscan's at St. Peter's Church in the Loop for twelve years.  They are grateful for the opportunity to be part of Chiesa Nuova and its ministry of music, peace and hospitality and to be involved with a board of directors who are passionate about supporting both artist and audience in the experience of the performing arts.


jackJack Kelley is an architect and principal at McBride Kelley Baurer Architects/Planners in Chicago. His firm’s work focuses on non-profit clients including religious communities, churches, social services and supportive housing. Jack is a visiting faculty member at the University of Illinois/School of Architecture’s Study Abroad Program in Versailles, France and leads student trips to Italy and France. Jack, his wife Geri, and their three daughters live in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood and are members of St. Josaphat Parish.



BonnieBonnie Leracz is the newest member of the Chiesa Nuova Board of Directors. Living downtown and worshipping at St. Peter’s in the Loop brought Bonnie Leracz to many enjoyable CN concerts. Serving on the Board gives her an opportunity to facilitate CN’s mission. Retired from a career in group insurance, Bonnie enjoys having the opportunity and the time to support CN’s many projects and to participate in the planning and delivery of quality programs and Franciscan hospitality. Long steeped in the Franciscan charism, Bonnie is an alumna of the University of St. Francis in Joliet, IL and served on the University’s Board for many years.

Kate Marshall is a founding member of the Chiesa Nuova Board of Directors.  Kate is a retired social worker who specialized in Elder Care Issues for many years.  Her deep love for music and strong belief in the Franciscan vision of the World and its Beauty  has fostered her long time commitment to Chiesa Nuova.  She  continues to be involved in the issues surrounding the care of elders by serving on several committees in her community  and is an avid volunteer cook for several organizations. Kate  lives in Brookfield.



tim2Tim Sinal  Tim attended Saint Joseph's College in Rensselaer, Indiana, where he double majored in Finance and Management.  Partnering with his father for the past fifteen years, he offers a full range of personalized investment and wealth management advice to individuals and corporations.  Currently he is associated as first vice president at Stifel Nicolaus.  Tim resides on the north side of Chicago.
